Radio-Zone™

BroVis’ Light-Mesh concurrent dual band radio solution complements our existing point-to-multipoint, Hot-Spot, and Hot-Zone solutions by providing the back-haul connectivity over the second radio (5GHz) link. Radio-Zone is a natural extension of BroVis’ single system solution. It enables customers to implement light-weight mesh applications in a highly secure, cable-free and relatively interference-free manner with no compromises in performance. In addition, Radio-Zone deployment can be implemented in a more rapid manner compared to traditional mesh deployments.

Radio-Zone solution suite leverages its current high-performance AS1000/AC100 systems with the flexibility to incorporate “Light Mesh” type systems architecture while maintaining compatibility with standards-based Wi-Fi clients. It includes WIOS™ - Wireless Infrastructure Operating System, TrueEXOR™ and new Radio-Zone features like Multiple SSID, P-MP bridging capability and flexible deployment options.

BroVis’ Light-Mesh networking systems provide significant advantages over the current multitude of point-to-multipoint and long distance back-haul solutions. While BroVis’ Broad Cell architecture mirrors the benefits of point-to-multipoint topologies in terms of distance and performance, it also delivers the benefits of mesh networking, which include:

  • Close proximity to “Hot Spots”, “Micro Cells” for increased subscriber performance
  • Realistic Non-line-of-sight (NLOS) operation using our TrueEXOR technology
  • Inter Access between Base Station over the second Radio which gives the freedom of wireless back-hauling.
  • Easily expandable coverage areas and scalable network capacity
  • Subscriber mobility throughout the Radio-Zone network

Highly flexible network design and single, integrated network to manage. BroVis’ elegant combination of concurrent dual radio and light mesh architecture provides a robust, flexible, and scalable solution. And, when combined with Wi-Fi access and wireless back-haul, it provides an interoperable, carrier-class solution with tremendous advantages for network operators.
