Technology Overview
Wireless Access solutions have become very popular and, in fact, very prevalent in many emerging regions and rural areas of industrialized countries due to non-existent wireline infrastructure and to address instant connectivity needs in many different terrains. However, almost all of the currently available Wireless Access solutions require a clear Line of sight (LOS) which is not always possible to get in many challenging terrains. So, to provide pervasive outdoor wireless access as well as high capacity link deployments, it is important to provide a combination of unique NLOS wireless technology and adaptive infrastructure management. In addition, the current wireless solutions available in the marketplace do not effectively address the application requirements and are not cost-effective from both CAPEX and OPEX standpoint. BroVis Wireless Networks plays a pioneering role in addressing these challenges with its unique TrueEXOR™ Point-to-Multipoint wireless technology and WIOS platform. BroVis fulfills the need for cost-effective NLOS wireless deployments using standards based technology, plug and play features, mobility management and value-added features with a scalable infrastructure.
BroVis Wireless Networks’ breakthrough True EXOR™ (True Extended Outdoor Range) technology substantially enhances the capabilities of current standards based 802. 11 wireless technology to enable mass adoption of complete Broadband Wireless Access solutions. Combined with our integrated infrastructure management platform, WIOS (Wireless Infrastructure Operating System) and Dual Radio Architecture, we cater to the demands of both Service Providers, HotSpot Providers and Campus Network Providers. Our compelling Radio technology with a robust link design and software platform provides cost-effective wireless broadband access and distribution with low deployment costs. TrueEXOR solution provides unique Point-to-Multipoint and true NLOS capabilities with plug and play features, flexibility in terms of rate adaptation and location adaptation, power back off capabilities and a modular architecture to accommodate various radio frequency bands (licensed or unlicensed) and backhaul interfaces.
In a nutshell, BroVis provides a flexible solution enabling different target applications and services. Our standards-based platform (802.11 and 802.16) provides the following:
- Concurrent Triple Band Architecture
- Hardware/Software based QoS
- Advanced Subscriber Management
- Advanced security features
- Centralized Infrastructure Management
- Clear migration path to the upcoming wireless MAN Standard (802.16e)
